If you're looking for information on the Stereo 410, this link just *might* help you:
http://home.indy.net/~gregdunn/dynaco/components/ST410/index.html. You'll find the schematic and a parts list that will prove useful. There is also a link to a repair article covering the Stereo 410.
As for the possible "commercial" nature of the post, I don't consider a request for documentation a "commercial" post. No mention of "money changing hands" generally keeps the "commercial" aspect of this sort of post at bay. If you had said, "I'll pay anyone $25.00 for a copy of the Stereo 410 manual", you would certainly have seen this post moved to the "Trading Post" circle.
My take on the Vintage Circle is to provide a valuable resource by pooling our collective "knowledge base" for the benfit of others. A request for a manual, (or a copy of a manual) doesn't violate the "no commercial posts" policy. However, this can quickly BECOME a commercial post if someone replies with "I have one and I'll sell it to you for $25.00!" In THAT case, the entire thread will probably be moved.
I want us to have an active, vibrant circle to play around in. I DON'T want to use "heavy-handed" policy decisions to reduce the discussion points. Use a little common sense about this. If someone says, "Anyone have a Keltertronics 5000 they'd like to sell?" THAT would violate the commercial post policy. If someone says, "I'm looking for a Keltertronics 5000. Please e-mail me if you know where I might find one." THAT would *probably* "skirt the issue", but just *barely!*
Always remember that our goal is to achieve "better listening for all" whenever possible. Keeping the commercial "clutter" out of the Vintage Circle is just one more way we can make this circle MORE helpful, rather than less.
Hope this helps to "define" the "no commercial posts" policy a bit better. Of course, if anyone has anything to add, or wishes to discuss this further, always feel free to e-mail me or send me an instant message. I live to serve!
Sincerely,
Bill Thomas
