uDac vs Icon Mobile
« on: 7 Dec 2009, 07:56 pm »
I am looking at buying one of these products and would like to be better educated about the differences.  I plan on using it with a usb connection to my computer (windows at work mac at home) to drive my grado sr60 headphones.  I dont currently need either a portable analog only amp or line outputs but conceivable could have a use for either in the future.  How do these two compare for sound quality with a usb input.  Right now im leaning towards the uDac but am open.
thanks

The DAC in uDAC will offer better performance in your application, if portability and rechargeabe are not your concerns.

Icon Mobile can support external 3.5mm input, such as amping a iPod, please note that uDAC has no analog input, it's a pure DAC.
