I think they'd actually look pretty good onstage together.    I got both these albums and posted them earlier with sample tracks in this thread.  I really like the live Tom Waits album, it was well worth waiting for. Susan,,, well I do love her voice but the songs tend to run together where the next one sounds like the last one. I can't sit there and listen to the whole album but I do love her voice in small doses. Maybe she'll mix things up next time.

Those were my thoughts too.  Who knows, they could be great together?

You never know about Waits. He did a duet with Bette Midler on his Foreign Affair album and did an entire movie soundtrack with Crystal Gayle. Why not Susan Boyle?

I think Tom would be willing to collaborate with Susan, but he'd be too avant garde for her taste.

Her record label, Columbia Records, says that not only gives her the best first week sales of 2009, but also the best-selling album debut by a woman in the Billboard SoundScan era.

That's a whole lotta cds(?) in one week in these times.
