iPeng Question
« on: 2 Dec 2009, 03:05 pm »
I just downloaded the iPeng app onto my iPhone and it works great controlling my Transporter but it does not display the album art--just shows a square icon where the album art would be shown.

I ripped my CD collection using iTunes and the album art is stored in the music library.  I tried various settings for the iPeng and Squeezebox server software related to the art but no luck.

How do I get iPeng to display the art?

Thanks for any advice offered.

Is the art showing on the native Squeeze Server console (which is what iPeng looks at)?  If not, it's not an iPeng issue; it's a Squeeze Server one.

Hi Ted,

Thanks for the reply.  I suspect you're right.  I'm running Squeezebox Server 7.4.1, the latest version, and don't see where I can display the contents of the music library from any of the software's action tabs.  The tabs available are status, library (just shows the location of the music), account, advanced, diagnostics, and information.  I do have the "use iTunes" box checked on the library screen.

Is it possible that 7.4.1 doesn't support showing the art?

Here's a thread on SB forum that might help (basically says it's easier to go back to 7.4.0 :)  ).  There is a checkbox under Settings/iTunes that says something like "get artwork".  I use 7.4.0 and don't use iTunes in my SB setup so my personal experience is zero.  My artwork is fine, but obtained via FLAC.
