Has anybody had the opportunity in doing a comparison of the Bryston 28bsst2 vs. the Karan m1200 monoblocks?  I am interested in both of these amps.  I know the Karans are a  lot more money but any feedback would be much appreciated.  Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

Bill

If i may add my two cents. i haven't been lucky enough to hear either of these amps but i have made an observation. The type of power that the Karan and the Bryston have are basically beyond what a regular outlet can deliver for the rated specs of those amps. Looking at both websites the only manufacture who address this issue is Bryston with their Torus.

Dont know what they are new karan's but it looks like you can get the Brystons and appropriate Torus for the same price as a Karan on it's own.
You will not be able to just plug these amps into the wall and get what you paid for. They will work but their output will be nerfed unless the power is addressed.
