Old 3b Power Cord
« on: 26 Oct 2009, 11:13 pm »

I've got an old 3b that's basically been powered on since I bought it 25 years ago
and the outer rubber on the power cord is starting to disintegrate. Is it ok to replace
it with #14 cabtire and Hubbell end cap or something like that?
Anything in particular I should be aware of, like should I even attempt it? hehe

I wish I was half as current as you guys are .....

Thanks,

I went a step further and installed an IEC receptacle instead of a captive cord.  Not so much because I like power cord tweaks, but I like the ease of not always dragging around an attached cord.

haha! No problem for you maybe, but I am not going in there!  :)

I'll have to send it in for a new cord.
