I really like my Response Audio modded Jolida 502, but I recently got a Juicy Music Peach for a steal. I was wondering how much of the Jolida "is" in the preamp stage. I thought the pre section of the 502 was basically passive...just a source selector, balance (now bypassed) and volume control. There is a mod where you can bypass the pre section of the 502, and I was wondering how much of the Jolida I'd be "losing" if I went down that path.
