Hi,
I have seen software like IK Multimedia's ARC (Advanced Room Correction System) and other software that you can use as a plug-in with you Audio software to tune or fine tune your home studio. ARC comes with a measurement mic that plugs into a regular audio preamp and then into your Audio Card or USB Audio input to your PC. However, there is also cheaper software, such as Acoustisoft EFT 5.986, or freeware call Room EQ Wizard. ARC comes with a measurement mic; however the other two softwares require a measurement mic. I spoke to a guy at LinearX who makes the M31 measurement mic and he said measurement mics need special hardware which you input the mic into, NOT a standard studio audio preamp. Does anyone know if the Behringer ECM8000 or the Dayton EMM-6 plug into a regular Pre-Amp or do you need special hardware to plug them into. Their specs are that they have XLR outputs and use power from +15-+45 volts of power.
Can anyone offer any help?
Thanks.
