Nice little collection of the Stones. :thumb: Do you have a copy of Stripped? I have the CD version and I like the performances but the sound quality sucks. I've been keeping eye open for a copy.

I see you got the Monkees, guilty pleasure, eh? Nevertheless, there are some catchy songs on that disk.

Hi Roy,

Did you mean to start a new thread for this?

I don't know that Stripped was issued on vinyl.  The Monkees are a guilty pleasure of sorts.  I like the album Headquarters as well but I haven't managed to find a decent vinyl copy yet.

Jerome,

I screwed up. No new thread.

Stripped was issued in vinyl.  It is available from some Amazon vendors but for  $100 to $250+ reflecting its rarity and the quality of the performances. I love  this album so I'm looking for it used. It's a compilation of mostly live recordings not issued previously.

1. Street Fighting Man
2. Like a Rolling Stone
3. Not Fade Away
4. Shine a Light
5. Spider and the Fly
6. I'm Free    Listen
7. Wild Horses
8. Let It Bleed
9. Dead Flowers
10. Slipping Away
11. Angie
12. Love in Vain
13. Sweet Virginia
14. Little Baby

I think this is the Stones only released cover of  Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone.

This is an excellent Stone's album, worth seeking out for sure. It's one of the best sounding Stone's recordings ever in it's vinyl incarnation. I was lucky enough to pick up a sealed copy for $15 a few years ago.

Thanks Chris,

I'll pm Cramer to keep is eyes open for it.

Recently our little record store (oldest independent record store in Washingtion State) http://www.quimpersound.com/ acquired a huge (50,000+) collection of vinyl. They haven't sorted through the collection yet and the bulk of it isn't on display. I suspect they're overwhelmed by the size of the task. Also their websight is seriously in need of updating, etc, so they definitely have some work to do. Of course they not only have to catalog and price the collection but find the space to display the albums. I'm hoping to mine this resource in the future. It's nice to have this within easy walking distance of my house. :)
