Where do I start?  These have a very long story associated with them.  The short of it is I bought them off of a dude on another forum.  This was before AE was back in business making these drivers.  They are slightly different in appearance to the newer TD15X but supposedly measure the exact same.  I have a WT3, so I can test the free air parameters but I can't easily test the VAS.

I had bought 4 of them of the dude.  1 was completely destroyed and I no longer have it.  Two got reconed as their cones were ripped to shreds.  The last one I still have but the voicecoil rubs on the pole piece.  Apparently it can be repaired, but it isn't easy to do.  I do have the instructions saved on my computer "somewhere", but it basically involves trying to pry the backplate of the magnet up and shim it until you can slowly work the plate back to center so the pole piece which is attached to the backplate is centered again.  The magnets are so strong that it is going to be very hard to pry.

So the deal is, I am taking best offers on the two re-coned TD15Xs and the third will be a freebie if you want it.  Otherwise I'll give it away to someone else (buyers of the two gets first dibs).  All in all I paid as much as new for these because I wasn't compensated at all by the buyer (except a tiny bit that didn't even pay for the re-coning).  They newer ones are $260/ea, but these are a little more of an unknown since with the re-cone the T/S parameters could have shifted a little.  These will still have the amazing motors and the cones should be very similar.  Millersound did the excellent work on the re-coning, fyi.

My loss is your gain, I'm ok with that, but they are just sitting in my basement taking up room. Its a long story but I ended up buying two newer ones, so now I have extras.  I could sell the newer ones for more probably but if I am going to take a loss, I'd rather it be on the older ones.

The ideal person to buy these would be an experienced speaker builder who has no problems measuring the T/S parameters and building speakers with the measured parameters.  It would also be tremendous if that person were local.  These are a royal PITA to box and ship, the lack of care of the original seller is how I got here in the first place.   I built crates for them when I sent them to Millersound so I know what it takes.  They are very heavy due to the magnets, bill @ millersound said he had never before seen drivers like these and asked how much they cost, he expected north of $700/ea.

I think if I found a passionate builder locally I'd feel satisfied selling them for $200/pair.  I will ship, I am not against it but it will take me time to be able to get them ready.  I am not willing to further eat the shipping when it will take me so much effort to get them prepared to ship, so please don't ask.

For shipping, figure 40lbs per driver packed (each shipping separately) from 07307.
