The VMPS HT in the MAN CAVE
« on: 30 Sep 2009, 01:38 am »
Some time ago I mentioned the VMPS HT in the MAN CAVE with 120" DragonFly Fixed screen, RM40's and RM30/LRC center.

Well here is a Quick and Dirty shot of the space.

The front speakers "each" get a 600w channel of a CINENOVA Power Amp.  The Side Surrounds are a pair of RM30M's.  The Subs are 4 VMPS LARGER subs, so this is truly a VMPS HT through and through.

It isn't pretty, but in the MAN CAVE it is all about the "GO" and not the SHOW (except what is playing  )

Maybe the top speaker is for when he is sitting on the couch and the bottom speaker is for when he is laying on the couch.

 aa aa

I had the RM30, and took the LRC in on a trade from a client who went with a pair of RMv60s with an RM40 center.

I placed the LRC (which is a Brian Cheney Signature Edition by the way) on top of the RM30 and it allows me to listen to "either" or both.  I have the barely visible Black 5 channel CineNova (600wpc) fed off a splitter of the Center Channel, so each speaker receives a 600w channel of its own.

If someone comes to hear the LRC, or the RM30 as a center I can easily audition either.

It sounds unbeleivable with both, and I have not noticed any "interaction" problems or comb filtering of any frequencies.

The PUNCH and Dialogue Clarity of 4 6.5" megawoofers, and 4 Neopanels is to die for  8)

This system is to "stimulating" to lie down for . . . aa

With 4 LARGER SUBS, I don't need any of the "butt kickers" many find useful.
