Why didn't anybody tell me?!?! M.K. on tour.

It seems Mark Knopfler is releasing a new album (Get Lucky), and is touring the US next year.  Why didn't anybody tell me?  The first I heard about this was when my wife pried me out of bed this morning and warned me that tickets for his Ann Arbor show would go on sale today!

Well, I bought a pair of tickets.  Ticketmaster threw in a free copy of the new CD with them, which was nice of them.  They also charged me $13.50 booking fee per ticket and another $5 processing fee, which wasn't so nice.  I'm currently pretending that I just bought the CD for $31, but that doesn't make me feel any better.  I guess when ticket prices start at $85 a pop, these minor additional charges are rather meaningless.  Be warned - New York and New Jersey ticket prices for this tour are apparently astronomically priced.

Mark Knopfler came to Kelowna last year, on the Kill to get Crimson tour.  Great gig, and was pleasantly surprised when they played Telegraph Road (one of my all-time favourite tracks).
