Its the place where I find a whole lotta' muzik for notta' whole lotta' mulla'.

Yah, missed Mike's rave last year, wanna make it this year...guess I can give up 75+cds for a day in zee woods.  :lol:

Today I cleared out a little space...threw out a buncha old magazines and stuff...now my sound is different, so need to fill that space back up.  :lol:

The wonderful thing about the Record Fair, is the massive selection from all corners of the musical landscape.
I found numerous selections from labels sometimes only available overseas. More and more musicians are starting their own label. This year I was more selective in concentrating on improvised, jazz, chamber, and world music. I did pick up a few Metal cds, and several, alt. pop/rock, and electronic/ambient/dub styles.
Its easy to experiment/sample new stuff when the cost is almost negligible...but, adds up when the end total is in the hundreds.  :o

Lucky for my wallet I only attended two out of three days.  :lol:

I only went on Friday night, but still made out pretty well.  Next year, I may go all three days, but that means I better start saving now.  Otherwise, it will be hard to beat Martin's haul each year.

I think I fell short of my last year record...can't remember. Can't be by much anyway.
I left there with just coins in my pocket Sunday evening. In fact I was short of $7, but the FMU guy cut me some slack and took my $216, which was all the money I had on me.
There was about 6-8 boxes still to be put out, but I was spent out anyway...left just after 5pm.

Each year I get better at zooming in on the stuff I like, or think I might enjoy. Last year I picked up a lotta clunkers, stuff I wasn't sure of, but the cover looked interesting...know what they say about the pretty cover....  :nono:

They actually filmed Ugly Betty in my neighborhood.  Well one of them. :)  (I saw them closing the road but that's about it).
