I agree this phono pre is glorious, If I had the cash it would be mine.
My friend owns one and it always puts a smile on your face and a tap in your toe.

Thanks Mike. Yeah, it's pretty special. You don't see them come up for sale often, and with good reason - nobody wants to part with it once they've heard it.

Jim Hagerman made a big mistake with this one. He should have doubled the price and made some money himself. Instead, being the honest and humble man he is, he gave audiophiles an incredible piece of equipment at a very honest and discounted price point, just like the rest of his wares.

WOW these things hold their retail value! If I ever finish my cornet I might have to acquire one of these. Jim, why were these never made into kits?

Chassis was all custom.  I had lots of metal bent to make a perfect machine.  Selling just boards would have been a difficult project.
