I-tunes for Dos Ipods?
« on: 28 Aug 2009, 12:48 am »
A tiny bit OT, but thought you guys might know.  I have two Ipods, mine 5.5g 80gig, and my wife's 8gig Nano.   Obviously I can't have her's sync the same list as mine, as it won't fit.  Is there a way to setup two sessions, or different sync preferences for one Itunes and two Ipods?

If I understand correctly, you want to sync 2 ipods from the same instance (library) of iTunes? If so, create two separate playlists, one for yourself and one for your wife, and then make sure only your own playlist is checked before syncing your respective iPods.

Thanks.  I was syncing with my library instead of a playlist.

Josh,

If you haven't tried this already, you can get a random assortment on the Nano by creating a Smart Playlist, limiting the size to 7.xGB (or whatever the actual formatted size of the Nano) and selecting Random.
