I know what you mean Paul. Great racers are greedy, they want to win. That's the fun of it. He's stil young, thinks about winning, not points. But he will learn, and change unfortunately, and the joy will be tempered by professionalism, as it is with all the greats, eventually.

Yes, Hamilton is young and wants to win, but so do all professional racers.  They get paid to produce results.  Hamilton has fantastic race craft skills, but he forgot to use them by trying to win the race at the first corner.  Like I said to Mike, all racers sometimes have a lapse of memory of that fact.  I can understand his enthusiasm at having a competitive car for the first time since the first couple of races of this season.  Like you said, it's fun but it's usually not going to result in a win.  I hope as he matures, he will still find joy and gain professionalism.  Look at Button this year, he seems to have both.

I saw qualifying as well...Missed the race
I think it was the first time this year Lewis actually had a car that had pole potential. He need to take the same last lap ran for the money as Button did when they both crossed the line with enough time to run another lap.

Poor managment from McLaren. It also shows that Lewis really wanted to get into it right off and it sounds like it clearly cost him.

On the other hand the hot racers this year are clearly showing that they in fact are hot. Vettel, Weber, Button and Rubens are the class this year.

Anyone willing to bet that Ferrari or McLaren will a race with the remaining calendar :duh:
