I have a couple of new product prototypes sitting around here and I need to sell them. The first item is the proto hybrid amp. It is a dual mono design, the only common part is the IEC connector everything else is x2. It is a class A design and it produces 275 watts into 8 ohms per channel and 550 watts into 4 ohms per channel. The distortion at full power is 1%. At 200 watts 8 or 4 ohms thd is .015%. It is an incredibly musical and exciting amplifier to listen to. It does, (I hate to say) betters my 120 3rd gen amps by quite a bit! Any one who does not believe me feel free to ask Danny @ gr research,he's heard it and he knows. It wieghs about 90 pounds. It uses 2 5687's per channel and then it has 8 per channel of the popular Hitachi Mosfets that are quite expensive and getting very hard to find. It has the inputs on the front for a super short signal path to the amp. It uses timed relays to bring everything up in a controlled manner. It turns on quietly and turns off quietly. In operation it is very quiet. I have a lot of time and money invested in the developement and building of this amp but I need money so I am going to let it go for $3500 plus shipping. At the price I am selling it for it is definately a steal!!! It will have to be crated to be able to ship it safely.
The second item is the prototype of my new reverse hybrid 300B single ended amplifier. They are monoblocks as well. They only have a single 300B tube and nothing else. I am using a small chip amp for a frontend and the 300B is the output tube. this amplifier is running a class A2 grid drive and it measured 20 watts out @ 1% thd!! It is definately a power house for a 300B amp! It has the singled ended bliss that everyone is looking for and then some! Again I have a lot into the developement and building of this amp and I am selling for way lees than it is worth. I am asking $1800 plus shipping and this is without the 300B's I have. I will sell my 300B's but they are expensive tubes. I am using the Emission Labs 300BXLS, it is a monster 300b and cost near $800/ pair new. Mine have about 20 hours on them and if someone wants them it is $700 extra. if anyone is interested in either of these amps please feel free to call or email me. I'll be happy to answer any questions. 972-276-6865 or gldodd@verizon.net
