As talk pprogressed throught the manufacturers forum, I have received a lot of valuable feedback on bring back a modified Jolida 301.
My goal with these little underated gem was to further enhance it's hidden potential while still maintaining an affordable price point.
I feel that this has been accomplished with the following upgrades performed:
** Coupling Caps - Tube stage coupling caps replaced with higher voltage AuriCaps.
** Signal wire - All internal signal wiring and speaker output wiring now replaced with high quality 18 awg copper wiring. This is the same Cryo'ed wire used in our RAM Signature amplifiers without the Cryo.
** Diodes - All diodes in the tube stage replaced with HEXFRED "Ultra Fast - Soft Recovery" pieces.
** Power Supply - The power supply filter capacitors are bypassed using high voltage AuriCap capacitors.
** Volume Pot - The new Jolida 301 amplifiers now come with the Alps Blue volume pot and is not replaced with new pieces. We DO replace the pot on units sent in for these upgrades.
** Resistors - All critical signal path resistors replaced with Dale/Vishay 1/2 watt, 1% - non-magnetic resistors. We have choosen to go with 1/2 watt over the stock 1/4 watt to produce an even quieter unit.
We have released this amplifer for only $510. Not bad considering the labor and quality of the parts used. This is only $160 over the price of a completely stock unit.
We have also thrown this amp into a package deal along with the Music Hall CD25 player, EPOS new ELS-3 speaker system, Clarity Labs Emberglow interconnect and Apature speaker cable.
All this for only $1,175. A complete system that will rival others costing many times it's price. Regular separates price would be over $1,500
