Stock photo donation?
«

Hey, if anyone would like to donate a full resolution image of some water to me for use in a photo composite I would be super grateful. I just need a rectangular slab of water of a lake or pond, slightly ripply with just a basic sky reflection, no trees or buildings in it. I just need the basic texture of it. Flickr and Google are not doing the trick. I can find stuff, but not high res. I know it's a long shot, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks!
Okay, so I'm not sure how to link to the new style AC gallery shots just now, but anyway here's the general perspective\ idea:

Can you cut/edit what you need out of this one?
I may have more photos from this location, if you'd like I can dig for them.
Also, what about trees reflected in the water, will that work? I've got some from Colorado, but they've all got reflections from the forest.

It would have to be a lower angle, taken from the shoreline essentially.

Ok, I'll see what I can dig up from my personal stash.
Here's a Google find. Is this closer to what you're looking for?

It has to be big, like at least 3000px wide or better.

Ok, understood.
I think there are quite a few possibilities on wifey's PC. I'll be able to check later.

Oh, you don't have to go to any extra trouble over it, Bob!
I just thought if anyone had something handy that'd be cool.

I have a couple of 5k pix wide ones readily available, but they have reflected trees/mountains. I might have others at home, but we're mostly inland folks, so all the water has something on the other side.
These are online at the moment, but have reflections.

The parasailor one is almost perfect, but yeah, a little choppy. Actually, the grass one is also a contender, that would break up the foreground. Do you have the RAWs or high res of these John? If so you could e-mail them to me. Thanks!

Sure, coming right up! If they don't work too well (first one DoF too narrow, second one taken on an LX2 so resolution may not be up there) I can take a few more on the weekend.

I can't divulge any company product secrets before release, hence the mosaics. But actually it's different now anyway.
