I've not used it myself, but have seen this recommended on various Apple forums:

Their conversion tool is quite good and very easy to use.

BTW, this is what I use to convert some of my FLAC files for use on my iPod.

I'm just trying to get some of my music recorded on Flac to my Ipod.
