well these are the pics hope they show up. The av/3's I built about four or five years ago. I just finished the subwoofer. I have had the kefs for almost twenty years and just got the ar's.  I am very satisfied with the sound and quality of the speaker kits of GR research. I have also learned how radically different speakers can sound in different rooms. I hope to do another speaker project soon as i have some raw drivers hanging about from a pair of haehkit 103. I am told that its all ar innards and it looks as though thats so. I am thinking of taking out the tweeters and mids and mounting them on a half wave length baffle and turning the box upside down which will raise the woofer and be closer to the mid and high drivers which will be in an open baffle. but of course these drivers are sealed so it wont really be open baffle but will have much smaller baffle with no moldings so it should sound better. Any suggestions are welcome please.

Your A/V-3's look really good. I especially like what you did with the bases.

I'm with Danny on the bases.  They look very stable.

thanks guys. The upper half of the av/3's are rounded over but its hard to see in the pic. I sheathed the 1 inch mdf with half inch oak veneered plywood so the box is one inch wider and deeper and half and inch higher than the plans. they weigh seventy five pounds each.
