Boston's Holy Name Church was home to the first-ever live concert of a Beethoven symphony performed by a digital orchestra.

Conductor Paul Henry Smith led the Fauxharmonic Orchstra, using a Wii baton to change tempo, loudness, and tone color as the performance went on.

The system featured more than three million orchestral sounds that entertained the crowd through an array of B&O Beo Lab 5 speakers.

How did it sound? A recent Wall Street Journal report said that music professors at major conservatories couldn't tell the difference between Smith's performance and one from Leonard Bernstein.
