Paul Winter Concert - Summer Solstice

The Paul Winter Summer Solstice concert in NYC at the Cathedral of St Thomas the Devine (the largest cathedral in North America, I believe) is occurring in a month. If you've never seen or heard of this you should check it out. It's an amazing event. There's also a Winter Solstice concert there every year.

World music, singing, dance troups, some pretty cool events. It's all good.

Here's a link to more information. There's also a free music download so you can check out what it's all about.

Sounds like it might be a great event. Never been, but have his, "Canyon" CD, half of which were recorded in the Grand Canyon, while the rest were recorded in St. John's Cathedral in New York. Great CD.  :thumb:

I'd love to be there (but won't likely) - Paul Winter has made some inspired music in the past :thumb:

I took the family to his winter solstice about 2 years ago. Unfortunately the cathedral was still under repairs from a fire, so half of it was still closed off. What was open was still huge. It's all open now and should be truly grand.

I remember that I wanted to see this show for many years, but due to the constraints the show I saw didn't have the full treatment with dance troupes and such. It should be back to normal now I think.
