SOLD: Vista Audio i82 / P4 - SEPCL82

This amp was essentially a prototype for the current production (though out of stock) i82 mk II. It's a 3W / channel SET triode amp based on the PCL82 / ECL82 tube with a built-in headphone output.

I bought the amp used last month from bbchem (his ad's still up) to try an SET amp. I thought it was a little too soft sounding for my tastes, although using the amp to drive my headphones, Sennheiser HD-600, was a very nice combination.

The tubes have ~100-150 hours on them. The amp itself is 9/10, but the paint on the transformers isn't holding up so well. So, i'd probably rate the whole unit 7/10.

Asking $235 shipped

Actually, not a prototype - this is one of the few I hand-build from time to time. Even though very close to standard i82, every one of these is a little different, some with minor, some with major tweaks. I do not remember what exactly is inside this one, but I suspect beefed up power supply filter capacitors.

Good luck with the sale!
