Selling my Scott Nixon TubeDac+.  This DAC has the optional 3AX power supply and X-Sinc filter.  Both have been mounted in a custom Cocobolo chasis, much larger than the Nixon box.  This box was built from a very special piece of Cocobolo Burl that I have been hording for quite a while.  I have installed a stainless steel perforated tube window in the front panel and removable black acrylic top panel.  Internal signal path wiring has been upgraded to Ridge Street Audio pure silver 22awg that I purchased directly from Robert.  Power supply and DAC board are hardwired together.  Caps and Power supply have all been damped with BlueTac and mounted to a Baltic Birch bottom panel.  The bottom panel has been tapped for 1/4-20 threaded spikes which you must supply.

The sound of the Nixon is slightly on the warm/tube side.  This dac makes my digital source sound a bit like vinyl.  It would be especially well suited with systems which are a bit on the bright or edgy side.

Never mind my photographic skills this was taken in my kitchen with a phone.

Cocobolo Burl face plate with Cocobolo sides and back.  Waxed and polished finish.  The wood is full of depth and much darker than the pictures represent.

Thanks for your reply ... is there room in the chassis to add a Toslink input (and a switch to go between the two)???  I THINK Scott Nixon offered a Toslink board as an option.

Here is a shot of the back and another of the front....
I think I could squeeze a toslink on the back and there is plenty of room inside for additional wires/boards.
