Height of Corner Bass Trap Absorption: 4 vs 8 Feet

Seems like the standard height for bass traps is around 4 feet. Does this reflect the sitting position in which the ear is lower than 4 feet? And what happens to the standing bass waves above 4 feet? Should all corner trapping go from the floor to the ceiling?

The best place is the tri corners so if you can go floor to ceiling do it.

The professionals would have a better answer, but I preferred one Lenrd bass trap in my problem corner to two stacked.
