Just thought I'd post this here for somebody with a PC who may be looking for a slick, inexpensive media player with built-in remote control capability using a $30 wireless gamepad for a controller:

This combined with a small, quiet media pc like the Asus EEE Box connected to your dac via USB could be a very inexpensive solution for those looking to go this route.

You do need the $10 pro version of the software in order to get asio support though.
