James Tanner, 50 hz problem?

Was looking for a thread where you said you switched from 2B to 4B on your Quads because of a 50 hz problem, but the search function wouldnt do much.
I would like an explanation for this phenomena, what exactly is going on?

James from Montreal,
Hi Niels,
I have tried the Quads in 3 different rooms and there appears to be a small bump at about 50Hz in the frequency response regardless of position in the room. I am assuming this is a small panel resonance (maybe even on purpose).
So I use a 10B electronic crossover and roll off the Quad at 50Hz at 6dB per octave so problem solved and use 2- TLE subs from 50 to 25Hz. When I went to the 4B over the 2B I found the extra power on the 4B help alleviate the bump a little.

Thanks for answering. Yes, I understood what you said before as if the 4B made the 50 hz problem go away, and i couldnt understand how another amplifier could do that. Anyway, 50 hz problems are the most common problem in most rooms I think.
