Okay, I don't know what the official name of the product was but does anybody remember it from the late 80's?

Phoenix rises again...goes to show how a product of dubious claims can resurface as something else of equal claims or maybe not.

Sam Tellig wrote about those way back when.  It seems like he wore them to a concert and 'reported' the results.

If I remember correctly, they were called "Serious Listeners" and were indeed made of leather. Yes, they did look goofy.

OMG, this is an example of a DIYer moding project going way too far...really!  I mean really, wouldn't the serious tweaker have put a dual can dispenser and associated drinking tube on the very top so he could enjoy his favorite beverage while "seriously listening" to music.  There is plenty of room for it and it would the dual purpose of acting as a sun blocker when you attend those open air concerts...cause you know you would want to show these babies off when you were out in public trying to integrate socially with the common folks.  Really!   

Thanks for refreshing my memory cells on the real name of the product too.

This hobby is fun.
