SOLD: Trends modded Transport/DAC & SLA batteries

SOLD

This is not a UD-10.1, but includes the high-grade parts such as Silmic and WIMA caps, etc. This is the DAC between my Mac and Tripath amp.

You could call this a Trends UD-10++ because of the mods to the unit. The mod that made the biggest difference was removing the headphone connector and replacing it with Vampire RCA jacks. Teflon-coated silver wire and silver solder connect the RCA jacks to the analog output circuit.

The RCA's transformed the Trends DAC to be more open, extended, dynamic, detailed and warmer. Very noticable and very much more satisfying. It's surprisingly better sounding than the stock dac thru the headphone jack. The headphone jack is gone!

The aluminum case was removed and the unit was put in a wood cigar box, mostly for aesthetics, but some would say that the wood surround reduces audible affects of EMI. That would probably depend on your system and ears. Just to be sure, I also use ERS paper in the box with the transport.

I will include the cigar box, a different cigar box if you don't like the original, the original aluminum case, an USB connector, some ERS paper and a set of homemade DIY White Lightning IC's (not cosmetically, but functionally as described in the 6moons article). The Trends battery pack/charger and 8 NiMH batteries, all working! All you need for plug-n-play.   8)

I need the desk space the cigar box occupies.

Asking $150 plus shipping.

I also have two SLAb's (5 & 7 Amp Hours), both for $30 plus shipping.
