Today is our 23rd wedding anniversary. My wife has been excited for a few weeks, mentioning a few times that my gifts had arrived at her work. This morning she hands me a small white box that along with a postmark, had Audio by Van Alstine stamped on it. Inside was an AVA remote. She really is a sweetheart. :inlove:

One T8 coming your way Frank.  aa  I guess I should send the remote control along too?

mark funk, do you have a spare preamp for a few days?  8)

Congratulations on your anniversary!  Are you saying that your wife was becoming tired of getting up repeatedly to adjust the volume for you.   Just kidding.  That was a very thoughtful gift.

The remote is a very nice option. I use it lots for adjusting volume in my favorite listening chair. The mute is nice and handy when the phone rings or there is someone at the door (if I can hear it)!!!!!

Happy Anniversary. (nice gift by the way)!

Man--that's true love.  She cared enough to care; that's totally awesome.

I don't need a remote. I've got my wife to do all that. :)

"No, honey, I didn't mean that. I was just joking. Honest."

"It was just a joke, dammit!"

Forget the inconvenience of getting up. I'm tired of the SHOCKS I get in my carpeted basement listening room. I, too, have a remote and it is the key to my winter listening!!!! Sometimes I use it just to watch the knob turn. It's positively mesmerizing.

Good one, Paul!

Yes, winter likes to make static electricity and the remote stops the sparkies. I've had sparks so huge they knock the mute relay in!!!!!

Don't let her talk to my wife.

She'll soon learn that once the men folk go down the audio dusty trail, they get dragged along.
