First post here on the circle although I read almost daily.
I recently scored an almost mint condition yamaha pf 800 off of Craigslist in San Francisco. I have downloaded the manual from vinyl engine but still have questions. 1. Is there any way to separate the subplatter from the spindle? Mine seems stuck on. Does anyone have any info on this. So far I really do like this table. A real easy to operate auto lift at end of record. It came with an ortofon MC 30 super, which sounds great but the cartridge is actually so tall that I can not adjust VTA properly. I adjust all the way up and still I am not there. I was wondering if anyone had any cartridge Ideas or any useful info on this Table. Thanks in Advance, and I really appreciate this forum. and now that I have lost my audio circle virginity I guess I am here to stay.
