Gavin, there is enough stuff in the abck room you could solder forever. I think an attendee may bring a Nikko that you may have the goods for.  :thumb:

Hey Scott,
Gettin' tired of that Lincoln are we?  aa
The Bently is $124,500,

Yep, tired of slummin' in a Lincoln. Not sure I'm interested since they only have one. I'd really rather have two, one dark and one light. That way I can drive which ever one suits my mood of the day. $2k/month car payments? Pfffffft....a mere pittance...a drop in the bucket my dear man

Why do you think I keep hanging around you guys. Nothing's more fun than living vicariously through the rich folk. I just wish you'd let me drive that darn Reventón of yours, you're unreasonably selffish with that one.

Normally I would but this one is my lovely wife's weekend driver (that's me in my jet trying to keep up)

Ohhhh! THAT'S why you won't let me drive it. All this time I should have been talking to Laura. Well, why didn't you just say so in the first place?
I do thank you for letting me drive your '37 Cord Phaeton a few weeks ago. That's a memory that will last a lifetime.   :thumb:
...sorry again about the door ding  :duh:

Dave,

Thanks for hosting the gettogether.  I really had a great time meeting new people, learning things, re-meeting fellow GASers, and munching on the feast.  The jambalaya was delicious.  The audio museum is amazing. Good luck figuring out that Pioneer electronic crossover, that 's a real brain scratcher, certianly has me totally baffled.

Thanks Dave. As always with GAS get-togethers--the food, conversation and audio fun was priceless.

Me too  :green:

Hey, I can probably help with the Pioneer crossover. I use the SF-850 in my system now. Which one have you got? Is it the big one, the D-23?

Yea Scott, the D23 is on the blink. I thought it was questionable for about a week, but didn't have the time to do anything before the fling. Shoot me a PM when you get a chance, or ring me at 651-9396. I'm getting better, but I still  when I look at a Citation I or the D23...they are intimidating.

Thanks for the kind comments, guys. It was a lot of fun, and Liam the tornado wants to do it again next month. I really enjoyed meeting new folks, and I got to eavesdrop on some fascinating conversations to boot.

Hopefully I can transfer the photos to Paul and he can PhotoBucket them to a post. It is hard to catch good shots in our smaller house, and the turnout made sure there was little room to be had. Maybe I should get rid of some of the gear to have more room.  :duh:

Thank you Dave for opening up your house to us all and providing some great tasting main dishes.  Too bad we didn't have the camera out earlier to record outside fun.  I think the music in the Volvo had some muddy mid-tones and needed some help to pull out a good performance.

Bo, I needed to add a push pull amp to the front end to get everything out of the hole in the ground.

That was the house where the two motorcycle gang members were dismembered, and possibly murdered, and then the house was torched. The new neighbors are better behaved...

It was a great time for sure Dave. Thank you very much. Please be sure to tell Mrs. Dave thanks so much for allowing us to mess up the house.

I enjoyed meeting all the GAS folks that came. I don't think I had amet any of you before. I sure hope to get to meet up with you all again.

Bo, glad you brought up "The Incident" :)  Sure wished I'd  remembered my camera.  I still need to write up Daves bill for the "wrecker service" :)

I wished I'd have grabbed the Stealy Dan records from Gavin as I got home and found out I did not have those two LP's.

Looking forward to meeting more great new freinds from GAS.....soon :)

Hey Dave,

Sorry I missed the party but some stuff came up at home I had to deal with. It sounds like a great time though. Please post some pics and I will try to make the next one!

Hey Dave, thank for the pics!!
What's the piece that looks like an active XO? I can zoom in quite a bit but the name is still hard to read.
It looks like "Nikko".
Can you tell me about that one?

Bob, that is a Nikko CO23 2 way stereo/3 way mono active; a whole lot simple than the Pioneer D23 and a little cleaner sounding as well. It has true 1 dB step attenuaters, 12 or 18 dB slopes, and cutoffs at 125, 160, 200, 250, 320, 400, 500, 630, 800 Hz, 1, 1.25, 1.6, 2, 3.2, 4, 5, 6.3, 8, 10, 12.5 kHz.

I like both, but neither is a good deal at the current EBay prices they are commanding, relative to going out and buying new.

Very cool pics, although "G" with the soldering iron is a little disturbing.    What a cool collection of gear. Man, Sinatra on vinyl on the Citation system.....very nice!   Dave, could you explain your Klipschorn setup?  I seem to recall it being tri-amped and maybe a little time alignment with the Behringer?  So sorry I missed this one and I really want to come down and hear these beauties.

Blackmore, the Behringer isn't hooked up to this system yet, and it is just dual SET amps thru the Merlin on the '63s.

Here is one of my favorites from the fling, with Liam saying he had too much to drink..
