OXO v DIGILOG

What is the difference between adding a DCX and running the bass amp straight into the speaker and running  the treble amp into the upper binding post on the OXO and the digilog?

The only difference I can see is that the OXO would have a slope on the lower range of the middle driver that might be inconsistent with the DCX crossover. But it seems that it would be easy to add a switch to the OXO to switch between passive and active biamping

I think that's a question for Brian. From my perspective however the question is moot -- Ain't EVER 'goin back!

You could do it that way, but it is best to bypass the passive midrange crossover using the digilog method.

It is easy to switch back and forth from all analog to mostly digital in this fashion.  With the DCX working, you go directly into the speaker with the bass and mid/treble, and use the digilog strap to provide a signal to the tweeter through its passive crossover.  To go back to analog remove the digilog and make your connections to the OXO and use the OXO outputs to the speaker.

Is it possible to get the digilog without the DCX.

Without the DCX no digilog is necessary.  The DCX requires biamping, analog operation does not.

I've been thinking of doing my own room correction and crossover set up with Acourate (www.acourate.com) I've been playing with room correction for a while with filters and my SB3 and it works pretty good but I think an active setup  will take it to another level. The  next level would be to go totally digital with digital amps.
