$$ SOLD $$

Shortly after purchasing the Dodd Battery preamp, I picked up these Amperex 7308 PQ tubes. I sold the preamp before ever getting to use the tubes, but held onto them in case I bought another component that could use those tubes. Never happened so it's time to find them a good home where they will get put to use.

Both tubes are marked in white lettering, Amperex 7308, MADE IN U.S.A., 65-52 (date code?), PQ enclosed in a shield, VR5 *5J in a faint, dark lettering. Tubes have gold pins.

Price is $125 for the pair.

In my experience, one of the finest tubes of the 6dj8/6922/7308 type.
Nice price too!

Wow! You just gave those away. Is that your contribution to the economic stimulus?  :lol: The bees knees in uber quality 6DJ8 tubes. Most vendors are selling these things for $300/pair (which is a rip!).

Good for you. And GREAT for the buyer. There are few 6922's that I respect, and this is one of them (Although the Ruskie 6H23P is no slouch  :o).

Most designs don't bias the 6922's properly which is why its been given a bum rap and also of course there have been many 6ES8/ECC189 tubes (which were intended ONLY for RF input stages) that were relabelled as 6922's! The two tubes look absolutely identical to the eye - but have very different parameters when used as amplifiers.

Priced as such (and below what I paid for 'em) because the tube prices are indeed obscene.
