  • ..I've got my eye on you...which one you say?
Now that I am investing in a new analogue front end, I will be buying a few LPs.  Does anyone have a favorite source with good selection and prices?

Thanks guys.

You can go Coastal (Not Postal   )  LA, San Francisco and New Jersey are LP havens. Be warned though. It ain't gonna be good for your back!

Wow! I wish I knew about this place early last year!  I won't miss it this coming January!

...and speaking of my back...reinjured it yesterday...nothing severe but enough to preclude a 3.5 hr. trip in the car.  That plus the 5" of snow forecast for Elkhart, IN equates to a disappointing postponement.  Maybe somebody up there is trying to tell me something. :? Thanks for the vinyl tip Jack.  I should have my new Rega P3 TT hooked up sometime next week.  :thumb:

Gavin,

Sorry to hear your trip is postponed, hope your back is felling better. Check out Music Direct's web site, they have a huge selection of LP's. I get two to three E-mails a week from them about new and reissued LP's coming out. Looks like analog is trying to make it's way back.

Take care,
Henry

I forgive you, Gavin.

I, out of necessity have to order vinyl on line.  My favorite so far is Elusive Disc.  Good prices, frequent sales, fairly quick shipping and they stand behind what they sell.  My attempts at buying used vinyl has been hit and miss due to inconsistent grading.  Mosaic Records is not bad, but if an item is out of stock they will hold your entire order till it arrives.  You should also check out Acoustic Sounds and Music Direct.  Have fun!

Forgive me nathan for I have sinned.  That finger is extended toward heaven no doubt. Well on a more secular note, I picked up my P3 and am listening to it as I type....ah the allure of vinyl...LPs, lingerie...but I digress.  Listening to George Benson "Give Me the Night", an LP that I bought back circa 1981 and aside from being a bit disco'ish and sounding like a bowl of rice crispies between tracks, it's great.  We will be going through boxes of old LPs tonight between sips of pinot.  There's no telling how good analogue will sound given the amount of wine on hand. aa Who knows...I may eschew digital totally except for those pesky prostate exams. :o

Have a good weekend guys.

Gavin
