Highly regarded CD player from early 90's Uses JVC proprietary P.E.M. digital to analog converter chip set. This machine is also capable of decoding the JVC XRCD's, which require the K-2 circuit. This is a high-rezformat, and the XRCD catalog is known for bing phenomenal reocrdings.
Transport is silky smooth, and build quality is superb. Machine is in excellent shape. No dings, scratches, or cosmetic issues. well the remote does have some fine scratches, but is still very presentable. Unit plays fine, although I do have a few discs wih pinholes that can give it a bit of trouble. But 99% of my collection plays fine. It does play burned CDR's.
Sound is suprisngly detailed and layered. Images very nicely. Considered to be one of the few classic cd players that sound excellent. Originally sold for $800. Sell for $170
