You made no mention of which plitron.   Makes a huge difference IMO.  I am assuming for a GB, you need to pick one model for which you make multiple orders.

I'm game. What kind of discount? and shipping would probably suck because the copper is very heavy.

Why Plitron? They are no longer easy to deal with, or price competitive. Try Avel. Just my $0.02

Antek is certeinly worth considering as well if you don't get your numbers.  Nelson Pass tested and OK'd them for the First Watt amps in a diyaudio thread.

Avel knows that the key to getting stuff made in China is to have your own QC people on site. We have used lots of them, without any issues.

For smaller applications, the potted Talema ones aren't awful. They no longer buzz like mad, like they used to. Advantage is that you can order from Digi-key.

I ended up going with avel for $22 vs $77 for the plitron

Its too bad none of the off-the-shelf toroid manu's offer e-shields.  :roll:
