Well while I was computerless yesterday, I made the drive and watched The Spirit, another comic book hero of sorts who overlooks Central City, same cesspool of Sin City fame. It's a story of a cop who gets shot, dies yet he lives and he doesn't understand why. He gets shot & stabbed yet it's only a matter of time before he's good as new. I normally eat these movies up and because the same guy wo directed Sin City did this and I was expecting the same bada$$ hardcore drama that Sin City reeked of. While the killing showed Sin City style, both the good guys & the bad guys had lots of subtle humor & one liners injected into their roles. Not what I was expecting but it caught me laughing outloud more than once. Killing and laughing is a strange combination yet this movie pulled it off in spades. I'm sure some folks will call this movie campy but I must be one sick puppy cuz I loved it.
