Nice unit. This is about as basic as APL players get, but even at that, it's an extensive mod to the Pioneer DV563A, which is a pretty good unit to begin with. I'm not sure what all the mods are, but from the photos you'll see that there's a lot going on there, including the addition of a good-size R-core transformer (probably for a linear power supply) mounted in the front left part of the chassis. Also, lots of cap upgrades, which are also evident in the photos.
Replaced the laser unit assembly late 2007, and it works perfectly. My estimate is that since then, I have about 50 hours on it.
With original shipping box, and I'll double-box for safe shipping.

Along the way, I acquired an unmodded DV563A, with the assumption that if ever I had transport problems with the APL player, I'd have a replacement transport. So the unmodded DV563A will also be for sale, but first chance goes to the buyer of the APL.
