I have never heard of any new digital format that is marketed as "better than analog". The closest was that "perfect sound forever" b.s. Analog is still the benchmark. Of the formats I have experience with I would rank them this way.

I have moved on from debates about formats because I find good and not so good things about them all. I love music and that is the main reason to have any format. As my system has improved over the years the more I keep carefully adding new sources. I say carefully because I refuse to jump on the format de jour. I currently use vinyl and redbook. I enjoy them both and can't imagine being without either. That's my .02.
