I've just recently finished a tweeter rebuild on a nice pair of MG-I speakers using the kit provided by Magnepan.  I also took this opportunity to upgrade the old electrolytic caps and repaint the bases.  Could use new fabric, but they perfectly presentable as is (in fact my wife likes them so much she doesn't really want me to get rid of them, but I've already got a pair of 1.6 and 10.1).  Full details and photos can be found here:

Make sure to read the captions on each photo as they provided detailed info on the rebuild.  Shipping these is just way too dangerous and way too much of a hassle, so local sale only.

Thanks.

bump

FYI - if anyone in the Detroit area needs to rebuild their Maggie wire-type tweeter coil (pre-Quasi Ribbon foil type), I have enough of my rebuild kit left to do several more speakers.  They send a lot of materials with the kit which costs about $60.  Free to anyone that wants it, but it cannot be shipped since freezing destroys the 30NF (miloxane) adhesive ... and it s COOOOLD in Michigan right now.
