A Merry Christmas to Dan, family, all the gang at Modwright (John, Melissa...), fellow Modwright owners and their loved ones.
This has been a fun, friendly and informative place to hang out - you guys have helped improve my musical enjoyment and increase my tube inventory :thumb:

Thank you, Phil!

A special thanks goes out to the 'beta boys' for their ears and opinions.

We are all getting 'amp-ed' in Amboy for 2009.

Merry Christmas to All and to all a ModWright!

John

x 3.

John - speaking of Amboy...  got any recent photos of the new MWI factory since our recent weather event?  Are you guys under 2 feet of snow & ice?  Might make a scenic postcard.

Merry Christmas to all,
Kenreau

Hi Ken,

I may try to snap a photo today.

We DO have a bit of snow up here. A couple of feet over a week is rare at this elevation. I have had my chains on for 7 days and that is unreal. I live a couple of hundred feet higher than Dan & ModWright in Amboy. It's been a daily ritual to drive over the 350' of my driveway compacting the snow or I would be looking at shoveling that entire length.

I'm sure it's been pretty exciting for you in the West Hills of Portland as well.

It will be nice to have a White Christmas and then it can snow in the mountains the rest of the winter!

It has really been a scenic winter wonderland this past week.  Absolutely beautiful.  I just got my studded snow tires on a day before the snow flurries came ~10 days ago and fortunately made it to work every day but one.  Amazing how PDX becomes paralyzed with ~12 inches of snow.  And the local tv news are all on nearly a 24/7 BREAKING NEWS ALERT preempting all regular programing.  They say it is a 40 year weather event, but that's enough to drive people crazy after a week of being literally stuck inside, with kids out of school, etc.  Just thankful I have my MWI Transporter to enjoy and transport me away from the tv dreck.

It will be nice to have a White Christmas and then it can snow in the mountains the rest of the winter!

Yes sir, I'm with you on that.

Happy Holidays to all of you guys.  Thanks for all the help in picking out some great tubes and for sharing your impressions of the ones that you have tried.  This has been my personal introduction to the very addictive world of vacuum tubes.  And of course thanks to Dan and everybody at Modwright Instruments for creating some very fine audio for the rest of us to enjoy.

Best of luck in the New Year!

Cheers,
Greg
