Greetings AC members and manufacturers. As many of you may already know, I have been involved with our local Little League Baseball program for several years. I have sponsored a team for many years, coached a team for 6 years and also a member of the board.

I am one who believes that the years a child spends in Little League baseball and softball provide memories that last a lifetime. With times getting tougher and our league in need of some updates, we wanted to reach out to those who feel the same.

Our league has three fields. One is a newer field dedicated to softball with a bare infield. Another is a dedicated field for our “AA” league where our 6-9 year olds play and the third is an official Little League field where our “AAA” and Major leagues play.

The two later fields are in need of some updating. Both fields need to be leveled out and reseeded. The “AA” field need dugouts so the hot sun does not scorch our little guys. The “AAA/Major” field needs a batting cage update and bull pins. We do get a lot of time/labor donated by local companies to perform the labor for these and other projects but the cost of materials has to be paid by the league.

The town use to help with many of these services for us but now they basically keep the fields mowed.

Much of the funding for this program also comes from fundraiser programs and sponsors but this only goes so far.

Aside from sponsoring, coaching and being on the board, I have donated much of my time helping in maintaining the fields, helping newer coaches work with their players and providing and maintaining the PA systems as well as helping pay the registration for those children that come from families that cannot afford it.

I realize times are tough at the moment and many of you may have your own local youth events to help out and I understand that. You know what they say, "Every little bit helps".
For those who wishing to help out our local program, please use the following information.

There is more information about the program and what we need to do on the Endicott Youth Baseball website linked below

Checks may be made payable to: “Endicott Youth Baseball” or "EYB"

Send Check to:

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Please let me know that you are sending a donation and the amount. Please don’t mention the amount in response to this post. This can be done in a PM.

Endicott Youth Baseball does have it’s own website, link below, and all donators will/can be listed on the site under contributors so you know your donation has made it to the proper place. If you wish not to have your name and/or company mentioned, please just mention so in a short letter in your envelope.

Here is a quick shot taken at one of our games. The team is red in "Response Audio". I do not coach this team even though it is in the same divison

That's me in the jeans umping the game as our regular, official umps did not show up.

A quick and easy way to do this is use a Paypal address and let folks elecronically send in their funds.  They do this at AV123 all the time for raffles to benefit charities.  Just a suggestion.

Good idea and thank you BRM.

For those who want to use paypal, you can sent it to my email address Response34@aol.com
I will post a check to EYB on a weekly basis based on Paypal contributions.

Please be sure to state that it is an EYB Contribution.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank those who have already sent in whatever they could. Every little bit helps and I will be honored to be able to hand them a check, no matter how big or small and say. "This is from the Audio Circle Community".

We have a board meeting this Sunday and I hope to be able to have some good news for them. I am going to see about a "Thank You" on the EYB website dedicated to Audio Circle.

I just wanted to add that for those contributions that have come through Paypal (THANK YOU), I am absorbing the Paypal fees. i.e; for those who sent $100, it will be $100 that goes to the league. I will NOT deduct Paypal fees when I submit the check(s).

I also wanted to add that no matter where our team finishes at the end of the season, as coaches, we always make sure our player get trophies. For our team, we have always purchased trophies for our players to be handed out at the end of the season gathering, provided "fun days" by having gatherings and cookouts throughout the season and even paid the way for our players to attend home games for the "Binghamton Mets" at least once throughout the season.

Thank you again for your generosity.

Hey, what is a better way to spend a few bucks than Little League?  Look for my check in a few days. :thumb:

We had our first board meeting Sunday night. When we got into the discusion of fundraising and contributions, I handed the a check for the money that came in from some Audio Circle members. I explained where it came from and there was a moment of silence while the others sat in amazement. Receiving contributions from people outside of our community amazed them.

There have been a few that mentioned they too would send a little something along for the cause. I want to thank you in advance for whatever you can send.

To recap how to send a donation to our little league program:

Checks can be made out to *Endicott Youth Baseball* or *EYB* and sent to:

 Response Audio
 C/O EYB
 112 Carl Street
 Endicott, NY 13760

Paypal contributions can be sent to my email address at Response34@aol.com with *EYB* in the subject box.

A couple of expenses we discussed at the meeting:

 1) A new batting cage for that will be shared by two of the fields
 2) We need dugouts with roofs built for the AA field (6-8 year old baseball players) and our softball field (6-12 year old girls) so these players can come out of the sun and rain.
 3) Both baseball fields need to be leveled for safety reasons. A local company offering to donate their time to perform this work for us but we need to purchase quite a bit of clean fill and grass seed.
 4) New bullpins (to warm up pithers) need to be built for both baseball fields
 5) A new pitching machine is needed for the AA (6-9) year old baseball players.

I will be sure a thank you goes out to Audio Circle if we get a few more donations. If we get a good amount in, I may be able to arrange a sign be made and placed on the fence of the main baseball field.

 Thanks again everyone.
