Hi,
It just baffles me why aside from a DTS version of Santan's Abraxus (which I have yet to see on a store shelf in Toronto) that the only HIREZ version is the 2ch sacd.

I would have thought this album would be a natural for a DSOTM treatment.
I've posted this comment elewhere also but it seems not as popular an idea as I would have thought.

I'm curious to see how many discs from the batch due the 18th is actually available.  Unfortunately for me, most things that look good I have to order online.  The only local retailer that sells SACD/DVD-A is Best Buy, and the selection there is pathetic (matches the service, actually...).

I'd like to pick up the Flaming Lips DVD-A, if it truly did come out.

Rob- Classic Records said they'd be releasing 5 -24/192 DADs by the
end of the year. Don't know what the titles will be.

The Boarders here on Maui has one shelf of DVD/DTS releases buried
under the regular DVDs(like why even stock them). Does any actual buy these DTS releases for audio only use?

Where you buy your DVD-A music?

Stay Warm.

Hi,
I spoke to the music manager at one of the Canadian Best Buy's and he said that they aren't doing much in the way of imports yet.  If your interested in stuff from Concord or other audiophile stuff when it comes to hirez type brands you'll have to find a specialty store.

He did say that they're also rethinking the whole music thing, sowho knows. In the last 6 months I've seen that section grow quite abit though.

PS: found a DTS version of Abraxus finally whichhas alot of echo.

I buy a lot of that stuff from  http://aMusicDirect.com, as their selection is incredible.  Pretty good prices, overall.  They ship pretty quickly and keep a large inventory in stock.
