pc to stereo
« on: 9 Nov 2008, 03:47 am »
Okay I just rigged my onkyo to my pc soundsystem if you will call it that. I have a logitech 5.1 it sucks but it works. Just hooked up my onkyo with the free Denon smoking speakers I have, that whole story is a whole different post. Hell one of the tweets are blown.

Anyways I just wired up my onkyo to the main output on the sub which resulted in losing stereo sep of my logitech speakers. All of the sudden my right main and right surround stopped and my left main and my left surround still play along with the sub.

So I just moved my left surround to be my right main for now till I figure it out. I'm pretty drunk right now and to tell the truth it doesn't sound that bad considering what it did sound like.

So what Im trying to get at is how should I actually set this up. PC speakers at leats the sub with my Onkyo and the Denon killers?

I think I will need a sober translation!

I think you are asking if you can get your PC 5.1 system to use your Denon mains?

Is that it?

BTW - is the gixxer part of your name from the Suzuki?  The gsxr part in mine is...

Sorry I was damn drunk when I wrote that.

And yes Gixxerrific was my name on Gixxer.com just kind of kept it for all forums, it's easier that way. No bike anymore someone else decided they wanted it more than me so they stole it. MOTHERFUCKERS.

The dennon killers are some free speakers I got that didn't work, with  some simple crossover repair I fixed them but as I was putting the speaker back together a I had a speaker wire laying on the ground coming out of my B speaker terminal on my Denon that I was using to test the speaker. The Denon was on with my mains hooked up to the A terminal. Well the wire just laying there either shorted itself or caught some static and fried some outputs and othetr things, it's getting fixed now.

Okay so I have a Logitech 5.1 system on my PC. it is hooked up with three wires from the PC to the Logitech powered sub. From the sub there are RCA's to the various 5 channels. So what I did was run RCA's from the Logtiech front channel outpus to an Onkyo reciever I have than to the Kenwoods (The Denon Killers). I guess this is alright to do it like this it seems to work.

Oh and last night I had the RCA's hooked up wrong it was going out of the Front Right and Rear Right channel instead of Front Right and Front Left.

Can you beleive they gave the Logitech a THX certification.

Thanks Dono
