Reluctant sale: Emerald Physics CS2

I say reluctant because I love these speakers, but various life events, not to mention a bit of audiophile angst, has brought me to this stage. Just a few weeks ago I had these dialed in perfectly with my Butler TDB-5150 amp (also for sale, see amps section) and believed I finally had a keeper. As the saying goes, if you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans...

I bought these new from Walter in April 2008. They have been babied, never moved from the room they were in, and the Behringer unit that came with it is in the same new condition that the speakers are.

At this time I will entertain local sales as a priority (N. Atlanta area). The system these speakers were in has been dismantled (two amps, crossover and two speaker cables) so auditions are going to be difficult. However, there is quite a bit of info on the web and at least two professional reviews, so you should have a pretty good idea of how they sound.

Price is $2500 for the speakers and crossover, which will include the original packaging in very good shape. I know you can buy from Wally for $3K but this pair is completely broken in and you will have the chance to enjoy them straight out of the box (pun intended). I estimate I probably have about 600 hours on them, and feel they came into their own between 400-450 hours.

Also available are custom interconnects made by Clayton and branded with the Emerald Physics name. These are RCA-XLR (so no adapters required if you have single-ended gear) and are a very good match for these speakers (being made by the same guy!) for $55 each PAIR. Each pair is 1M in length and in like-new shape.

Thanks for reading my lengthy ad and if you made it this far perhaps you are the right person for these speakers. Feel free to ask questions, preferably via PM.
