You are all very welcome.

I may go browse tomorrow.  Off the top of my head I can't think of anything I want that my Borders would have.

Came home busted.  My local Borders removed two complete rows (two-sided racks) of CDs since the last time I was there.  I think they need to make a business decision.  Either get serious about CDs or get out of CDs.  Next time they have a sale, I won't be there.

Don:

That is a bummer!  Our Borders Store located in north side of Raleigh has a pretty large music section.

Thanks again for the coupon notice!

Don-

Mahalo for the tip.

The Maui store has reduced the Jazz section, but I was still able to get Stereophile's recording of the month, McCoy Tyer's "Guitars," and Carla Bley's new CD "Appearing Nightly."

Aloha,

Dan

Tower Records was "serious" about music, and they bit the dust.  Retail music is not doing well at all.  Sad, but seemingly inevitable.  Any big national chains left?

I wanted to see the Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas last January when I was at CES, but never got around to it.  Maybe because I was burned out from listening all day, every day at CES.

Sorry Mike,  I forgot where I was.  That was more appropriately a Steve Hoffman forum joke.  Them and Beatles:    Me and Beatles      :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

There was a point where I could care less about the Beatles. I was a punker (Minor Threat, Black Flag, Exploited, Joy Division, Cure, Bauhaus), New Wave 80s dude.
I wouldnt consider myself a Beatles Groupie either. I can certainly appreciate them now though. Everything they did was new and they pretty much defined the evolution of pop music. Pop including any modern popular music. Somebody had to come first.

You are making this a Beatles thread. I will take no responsibility.
