Trading efficiency for passband
« on: 13 Nov 2008, 06:21 am »
Hi

I’d like on some occasions to be able to mate my 12 inchers to some drivers (some 2nd hand ESLs I came across), crossing at c 250 Hz, without sacrificing much in the way of low end extension.

I'm prepared to sacrifice some efficiency, ie trading efficiency for passband.

For two 12 inch woofers a side, how much difference to especially how *high the output runs, does the baffle shape make?

ie should I go U frame/  H frame/  W frame (out of phase)/ flat baffle, or back to back (like the Emerald Physics CS2)

Thanks
