Hi.  I was just told about your site/group.  Over the past year, I (Jeff from Command Performance AV) have been hosting the Washington, D.C. Area Audiophile Club.  It sounds like you folks have something similar going on.  I would like to see if there is any interest in having some combined meetings.  Our next meeting is this Saturday, May 31st at 4pm.  The details of the meeting are below.  Folks here are welcome to come by if interested.  Perhaps we can discuss doing some joint stuff at the meeting?

We have scheduled the next DC Club meeting for May 31st at 4 pm at Command Performance AV.  New members are always welcome. 

Topic:
Chris Sommovigo from Signals SuperFi will be our presenter.  Chris will be demonstrating some of Signal SuperFi’s top products.  Chris will be showing:

•   German Physiks PQS-202 Mk. II in all carbon
•   Vitus SS-101 amplifier
•   Vitus SCD-010 CD player
•   Stereovox cabling.

Also David Berning will be joining us and will have his with his latest masterful creations.

If people want to bring snacks / drinks to share, that would be great.

I just thought I'd offer a quick plug for Jeff here.  This past summer, I was pointed to his business since he's an authorized Usher retailer.  I needed a pair of capable bedroom speakers.  Jeff demonstrated the Usher S-520 and I was in love.  While the lowly S-520 is certainly towards the bottom end of the gear that Jeff sells, they have brought me lots of joy - and, I still find it amazing each time I listen to them how such a great speaker can be made for such a great price.  I realize that many time constraints have prevented me from sending Jeff pictures of the beautiful cherry veneer of the S-520s, but their gorgeous finish is enjoyed each day - and their lovely sounds are enjoyed each night as I fall asleep.

With all of that being said, just seeing Jeff's selection of components for sale, and hearing them -- in a very non-pressured sales environment brings me a great feeling.  Such environments barely exist today.  Plus, just standing in the middle of the larger room and pivoting 360 degrees to take in all the gear can only be described as a feeling of being a small child in a candy store.
